These are the most fleshed out Amazons since George Perez. Each of them have a unique personality and there are dozens of them in this. Great to see Cassie Sandsmark written in character for the first time since August 2011. It’s been a long time coming the repair to her character Scott Lobdell did. Who remembers the barbed wire lasso, the stolen armour and Rocafort sexualising a 16 year old with the male gaze?

I really wish this wasn't getting ended by the Trial event because Stephanie Williams has done some real good work here in developing Nubia both as a character and as a queen. I still don't trust that cat though. Mark my words, nothing good is gonna come from a cat named Nyx. It sucks this series ends as part of a crossover, but it was still very enjoyable.

This art wasn’t really for me, and I don’t think I’ll check out #1-5, but this was a nice furtherance of the Trial of the Amazons story.

I'm never sure how much of a tie in issue actual ties into the event, or the Trial here, and they tend to be somewhat disjointed for event readers. This part of the trial event carries over the same issue that I had with the first. The Esquicida tribe arrived with a huge splash and lots of mystery to them, and yet they were shoved behind Faruqa's fiery antagonism in #1 and now they're included like everything's all good and well. The Esquicida tribe arrived with a huge splash and lots of mystery to them, and yet they were shoved behind Faruqa's fiery antagonism in #1 and now they're included like everything's all good and well. Yara is the main face and voice, and has to be since her tribe hasn't been fleshed out like the others. She's a smart new character that could do well if DC would stop minimizing her. But that aside, the tone is positively weird following the murder of the original and longest reigning Amazonian queen, and the mother of Wonder Woman. It feels respectful, but forced, and is missing the rage and grief that would be expected—I mean she wasn't sick and didn't fall in battle. Plus, as suspicious and contentious as everyone was in #1, I'd expect them to pull together for the ceremony and then tear into each other afterward, not take a quiet vote. I'm not sure why I gave this 4 stars. I am enjoying the story thus far, and appreciate the ceremony of the funeral. I'm curious about Doom's Door, the Trial, and the mythology behind it. I also love the nod to Diana's darker side, but at the same time, after her own journey through the afterlife, I'm not sure how she would feel, and we don't get a real inkling of her feelings until the end. It all feels superficial yet precarious at the same time, and in a way, that's kind of how it would probably be. So...for whatever it's worth, I guess my mind's working in circles with this one, and anything that makes me think this much must be good.

Un buen fin a una buenísima miniserie sobre el personaje, en el que toma muchísima forma e importancia en el mundo de las Amazonas. Me ha encantado. Además, enlaza con el evento Trial Of The Amazons, just 💯💯💯💯

I am upset with this ending and that I have to buy another comic book from a different series to learn more.

What a great series! I’m sad it’s over, but happy it will continue exploring this universe in the Trial of The Amazons crossover event.

    Oh. It's a tie-in issue. Oh. It's a tie-in issue.
