Boy oh boy. This book was a freaking rollercoaster of emotions. I smiled, I cried, I swooned, I fanned, I screamed and then all over again. It's not often that a book makes me feel so much and I'm writing this review still with tears in my eyes. But even though you may or may not feel as much as I did, I guarantee that it is worth it. The chemistry? Off the charts! Sexual tension? Burning down entire buildings. The characters? Ducking amazing!! This book has some of my favorite tropes like hate Boy oh boy. Bailey wants to hate Riggs, but the more time they spend together, the more the ice around her heart melts…Better With You by Brit Benson is book 2 in the Better Love series. Wow this book knocked my socks off and wrecked me all in the span of a few hours! I was a sobbing mess by the end of this and loved every second of it. This is a very emotional read that deals with topics such as: transphobia, death of a loved one, terminal illness. On a lighter note, Bailey & Riggs had great chemistry and I loved the baking element that was ever-present the whole story. Highly recommend this one & one of my favorite reads this fall! 5/5 stars.Thank you Wildfire Marketing & Brit Benson for my review copy!

EPIC book hangover. I needed this book. I was having a hard time getting into anything but this book.... My gosh, it has everything that I adore. I couldn't love the two MC any more. "You talking sports to me, Barnes?" Riggs - *sigh* He's a cocky athlete with an soft, sweet, gooey side to him. The contradictions with him kept me so interested. I want to be her.I devoured this. I was a sobbing mess. There are so many facets to this story, but I really didn't expect how emotional it is. Please, please read this book. You won't regret it.

I loved everything about this book! "Bailey is like an origami star made from the last page of a book I am absolutely loving. Beautiful and intricate and necessary."When Bailey Barnes first meets Riggs Stanton, she knows him by a different name. She's just started to trust him when the truth about him blindsides her - at the worst possible moment. She cuts him out of her life, but he barges back in with an offer that she ultimately cannot refuse. "He kisses me like he means it, and it's terrifying."God, I adored Riggs and Bailey's story! They were dynamite together! Riggs was boyish, charming and eager. He obviously had something going on and was caught up in a web of his own making, albeit with good intentions. Bailey was a little firecracker! She was prickly and sassy but also pretty stubborn. Both of these characters had giant hearts and I fell in love with the way they connected and gelled, in spite of their differences. I found this story so sexy, pretty amusing and heartwrenchingly emotional. A fabulous read! Blog: https://readingwillingable.blogspot.c...Amazon:

From the meet cute to the HEA I was invested. The two things I knew going in were:1. it was enemies to lovers 2. there’s baking involved and I’m so glad that was all because I throughly enjoyed unwrapping the layers of this book. There are some seriously good one liners that made me bark out in laughter. It’s simply impossible not to fall in love with these characters, both main and side. Riggs is a possessive, alpha jerk face at times but omg I loved him so much. Like big, BIG love! He’s the perfect balance with a super sweet, imaginative side that counteracts it all. He only gets that way over Bailey and gah, Cupid’s arrow straight to the heart. Not to mention that mouth and swagger! He’s a keeper. Bailey is a super special character to me because we share an affinity for a multitude of things. From pop punk to small town life to tenacity to her “ideal life” she is incredibly relatable and I don’t often feel as drawn to heroines as I do her. Bailey made my soul happy to read, she’s not a run of the mill heroine. This is Brit’s second book and she really evokes a lot of emotions in it. You’ll want to read straight through to find out this twin flames’ journey. The small details woven into the story line made me swoon. Better With You put my heart through the ringer a bit but it left it impeccably full of love.

This is an interesting enemies to lovers - and back and forth several times! Misunderstandings abound in this book, and secrets never stay secret. I loved Bailey as the romance heroine with swagger - a blue haired, motorcycle riding, baking bad girl with a perpetual scowl. Her relationship with Ivy (who we read about in Love You Better) is such a wonderfully healthy friendship. I totally loved how they normalized talking about their mental health in such a great casual and loving way. Their “How This is an interesting enemies to lovers - and back and forth several times! He is a very sympathetic and swoon worthy character, but rather than dealing with issues in his life, he does a lot of hiding. And it’s funny, because he seems like the more open of the two. Alex and Bailey have a ton of chemistry, and not just because of their time in the kitchen. These two light it up! I loved how these two helped each other realize their real futures, and not just the path of least resistance that they were both headed for. Because that’s not how life it meant to be lived.Great romance with lots of yummy treats thrown in too!

Bailey and Alex/Riggs were everything I love in a romance story! Each had such strong personalities on their owns but when they got together, the best parts of them shined. I loved how different they were characteristics wise yet they meshed so well together. This book had all of the elements I love in a contemporary romance read. Denial of feelings, tension, skeletons in the closet that don't stay dead, family drama, miscommunication and steamy bedroom scenes!!!! Her debut was wonderful don't get me wrong, but this book felt like she really discovered a groove and brought us this novel from a deep, raw and personal place. The writing was better, the character development was phenomenal and the emotion you were forced to face head on with was so much heavier. This book was everything I had hoped it would be for Bailey and Riggs.I highlighted so many passages in this story because it was just so witty, yet emotional. The back and forth between Riggs and Bailey had me cackling at times and wanting to shake them silly other times. The chemistry between these two was off the charts, not just sexually. They had a real connection on a very deep level that couldn't be ignored or denied. Their passions aligned and I think that really helped them see more eye to eye and appreciate what each other had to offer.I really loved the little tidbits with the side characters that we got in Better With You! Jesse is hands down the highlight of the friend group for me and I cannot wait for his book! I just know it's going to be extraordinary!

Britt Benson did it yet again, putting together such a beautiful story with deeply impacted subjects that hit you hard from within causing the emotions and feelings to tug at your heartstrings. This story was honestly chef’s kiss, or in Bailey and Riggs’s case baker’s kiss. Having read Better With You, I can honestly say I wasn’t expecting it to blow me away the way that it did. It was truly different and unique, one because of the fact that it was Lovers to Enemies to Lovers. Somet Britt Benson did it yet again, putting together such a beautiful story with deeply impacted subjects that hit you hard from within causing the emotions and feelings to tug at your heartstrings. Something I haven’t really come across much before. And two because the issues that are put on the forefront within the story, some of which aren’t usually mentioned or rarely spoken about. At least not in the many, many books I have read so far. Not only were these issues put on the forefront, they were highly emphasised on in the narrative with playing an important part to the overall story. And it’s what hit deeply hard with how truly emotional and heartfelt it was. There was so much happening within Better With You, but Brit made it work so well that it never felt too overwhelming with being too much all at once. Creating a smooth flow to the overall narrative, with the pace drifting along like the sea whilst enticing you to move along with it. Bailey and Riggs had me intrigued when their story first began, then as the story progressed they had a hold on me so strong that I couldn’t help but fall down the rabbit hole that was them, their relationship and their overall story. The narrative was made up of drama and a lot angsty moments considering not only what both of them were dealing with in their own personal lives. But with the element of mysteriousness that lead to revelations being made, it was what causes issues with Bailey and Riggs going from Lovers to Enemies. With the mini adventure they are both taken on within the story, it slowly lead to their broken relationship flourishing all over again. Little by little, piece by piece their relations blossoms going from Lovers to Enemies to Lovers. Considering the attraction and sizzling undeniable chemistry was so strong between the two that it made it hard for them to steer clear. Especially since they had a rough time ignoring the pull they was tugging them back to each other. However it wasn’t without moments of caution and hesitation, at least on Bailey’s side which was understandable given the ordeal she had been put through. Something that is made known through her perspective with her feelings, emotions and thoughts being put out there for us to know and understand where she is coming from. There was just something about Bailey and Riggs and their relationship that had you falling in love with them. No matter the hardships they faced or the emotional baggage that they were dealing with at the time. They were always still there for one another, helping to pull the other through. Proving that not only were they meant to be together, but that they were endgame.Brit Benson did it yet again! She yanked on my heartstrings with the story that was Bailey and Riggs, to the point of where I was on the verge of tears one too many times throughout. Better With You was absolutely perfect, breathtaking and truly beautiful, whilst dealing with real life scenarios which were inspirational. And with that epilogue, it was just bakers kiss! I can’t wait to see what she writes next, because I am all here for it.*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

UniversalBailey needs money to help set things right, set things right for her past. But to do that, she needs the money this baking competition will bring her. But who swoops in and takes it from her? The very thief who stole her vanilla once upon a time. The jerk who now wants her help. She'll do just about anything for that prize, even work with the guy she hates. Riggs has screwed up so badly with his Bailey. She's no wimpy, unsure woman, though, and she's making him work to get back into her good graces. Her body's one thing, but her heart? That's what he wants, and to claim it, he'll need to give her his, and to come clean about things in his past. Is the thieving playboy jock up for it? Damn but this one got me right in the heart! So many emotions swept through me, and I was leaking tears like crazy near the end. I loved Bailey with her sassy, confident pop punk personality. Riggs was perfect for her with his smirking cocky charm with a hidden vulnerable side. These two took me on an emotional journey, one I will not soon forget.ARC provided by Wildfire Marketing Solutions for an honest review.Review / Release Blitz: Live Through Books Blog. Check out this book if you like… ☆ Friends-with-benefits☆ Foodie Romances☆ College Setting☆ Banter ☆ Found Family This story follows Bailey Barnes, a college student who urgently needs money. She has to win the bake competition for a $2,000 cash prize after dealing with a traumatic past in order to make peace with her present-day life. When Bailey runs out of Vanilla extract, she decides to go to the shop and acquire some more. What she didn't anticipate was someone grabbing the final one before her. When the attractive stranger strikes a bargain with her, he does not expect her to defeat him at his own game, and he is left wondering who the girl from the grocery store was. When they meet again, they exchange numbers and become friends with benefits but all that changes when Bailey realizes that the stranger isn't who she thinks he is. Riggs Stanton is keeping a secret from Bailey and hurts her when she finds out. When Riggs is in desperate need for a baking competition partner for Chicago, he knows who he needs to ask. After hunting Bailey, she agrees to go to the competition with him even though she hates him, she does need the money. As the two spend more time together, Bailey soon realizes that Riggs may not be a total fraud after all. I loved this one! From the minute we got a glimpse of these two characters in the first book I knew that I was going to love their story and I have to say I surely wasn't disappointed! I absolutely adored their meetcute, it was hilarious. I loved how the heroine was grumpy while the hero was the sunshine and enjoyed the banter throughout the novel. It was great. I loved reading about the baking competitions, it made me feel like I was right there with them. Like the first book, I loved the friendships with this one. I loved how the heroine knew she had really good friends that she could rely on. The one thing that didn't work for me with the romance was that I felt like the hero had multiple opportunities to tell the heroine the truth and he just didn't. I felt like some of the conflict could have been easily solved with just communication. Overall, I recommend checking this book out if you are looking for an emotional foodie romance. I cannot wait to read Jesse’s story! TW: Transphobia, Bullying, Death Of Loved One, Terminal illness.

Better With You is the second book in the Better Love series Brit Benson and the follow up to her debut novel, Love You Better. The story can certainly be enjoyed as a stand alone but I certainly think that it is best enjoyed in order since the stories are interconnected. This story does contain some material that may be hard for some readers to enjoy- loss of a sibling, illness/death of a parent, and a transgender character.I am blown away by Bailey and Riggs' (Alex) story- which starts off wit Better With You is the second book in the Better Love series Brit Benson and the follow up to her debut novel, Love You Better. The story can certainly be enjoyed as a stand alone but I certainly think that it is best enjoyed in order since the stories are interconnected. This story does contain some material that may be hard for some readers to enjoy- loss of a sibling, illness/death of a parent, and a transgender character.I am blown away by Bailey and Riggs' (Alex) story- which starts off with as an insta-connection story but morphs into enemies to lovers meets second chances. Better With You is gripping, emotional and sexy while also lighthearted and fun at times. Bailey is fierce- she may keep most people on the outside with a no nonsense attitude but she does so to keep her soft heart in tact for those who have earned the space to be there. Then there is Riggs/Alex who is quite the complex character- when he's Riggs he is the cocky, self assured playboy baseball player but when he's Alex he's more of his true self who is much gentler and incredibly sweet while still being confident enough to go after what he wants. This story... I was glued to the pages and read it all in one sitting while feeling all the emotions because the story and writing is so well done. I laughed at the silly banter between Bailey's friend group and the flirting between Alex and her. The easy connection that these two share was so fun that I almost didn't want the twists to come. I loved the serious moments where as a reader I'm not only reminded that these characters have been through some things that are heavy and emotional but the pieces are presented in such a way that my heart could feel what they must feel. One of my favorite parts of this story wasn't even part of Bailey and Rigg's relationship but Bailey and Ivy's- how they would take moments to give mental health checks and see where each of them were at especially when Bailey was facing hard memories. Then mixed all between are some seriously steamy moments- so if you feel too much in one moment, just hold on because you'll hit another emotion real quick! I really liked Love You Better but I love Better With You and absolutely cannot wait for Jesse's story- I have a feeling that his story might be my absolute favorite.
